Well my dog looks like a pitbull... musculature is correct.. stance all that is correct. Except for the coat...The coat length is about your thumb nail..nowww my friend has a Blue nose pitbull at 7 months and mine is a 3 month old pit....idk maybe you can click on my dog Ieya or something and check her out. But anyways Her hair is longer than my friends pit... i went on youtube and google and saw pits that look EXACTLY like her but with shorter hair... soo at first i looked up to see if its a gene thing. Some people say it could be an old gene hidden, or the dog may still have some pup hair (but she's 3 months old soo...), and that she may be a mix. Her coat isnt shiny but thats because she has worms (dont worry we're taking her soon to get them gone) And idk if the worms have something to do with hair length. Or if after she sheds she loses the big hairs for small thin ones?? I wont love her less if she's a mix but i just NEED to know what kind of dog it is. Right now im thinking American Pitbull Terrier... This would make me feel less anxious about my dog once i know EXACTLY what type of dog my baby iss. Soo help me pleaseee

The pic didn't show up...but from what it sounds...she could be an American Pit Bull cuz puppies do have a puppy coat. There also is a possibility she could be in the Pit Bull family. The Staffordshire Bull terrier is cousin to the American Pit Bull Terrier. From what I've heard...they're very closely bred. Hope I could be of some help.

pit bulls, even as puppies should have short fur. If your puppy has longer fur than more than likely she is a mix.

My dog has basically everything a pitbull has other than its hair length. I mean if it IS a mix dont you think it would inherit more than 1 physical trait from the other breed??? right now im thinking if it is a mix it would be a pit/boxer mix. And even then both of those dogs have short hair....and i say pit/boxer mix because i've seen more than 10 dogs that is pit/boxer mix that look very similar to my dog........is there anything i can do to find out specifically what kind of dog she is? Like go somewhere for genetic testing or something like that to determine its bloodline?

i saw the picture the other day and i thought boxer too. that still doesnt explain the longer hair though. cutie pie, whatever she/he is. (sorry cant rememeber)
i googled dog dna test once and there are several tests out there, some as low as 50$ to find out you what breed your dog is. some have a more extensive breed database to search against, so you may want to compare a few of the tests to make sure they test for the breed you suspect. if you do it, let me know how it goes!
