What diet do you feed (i.e. homemade or commercial)?
What types of treats do you offer (i.e. homemade or commercial)? And when do you offer treats (in relations to behavior & training or whenever)?

I feed Wellness Fish and Potato formula, supplemented with Inflight and salmon oil. On occasion I throw some veggies into their bowls as well. The treats come out during conformation classes and shows, as well as tracking training. They get anything from cheese and chicken to Buddy Biscuits.

Commercial.
Homeade (cheese, hotdogs.) Because its cheaper than buying a 3.99 bag of treats.
I offer treats for both training and behavior. Sometimes he likes playing the pity me card and then I just give him a piece for being cute.

| I feed all 3 of my dogs Taste Of the Wild Pacific Stream. They also get one Pet Tab per day, just a daily vitamin. And they get one teaspoon full of plain yogurt each day. I also give them broccoli and carrots occasionally as treats if i am making something with them. And for treats which i give each time i put them in their kennels before leaving to work : they get small breed size Natural Balance sweet potato & fish biscuits or Natural Choice biscuits made with real apple. All in moderation tho. They are all at a very healthy weight and i make sure they are only fed healthy food if given human food for treats.

| i feed mine raw food - it's basically free because i go to the butchers around here and grab what's going in the garbage. the last box i got included several turkey legs, a turkey breast, a *lot* of chicken drumsticks, a couple of small rolled steaks stuffed with spinach and cheese, a stuffed pork roast, and a whole whack of knucklebones with a generous amount of cartilege on them. mom's dog's on a weight-loss diet. she's been stealing the cat's food and mom's been slipping her treats on the sly plus giving her dishes to clean after meals and now she's *gained* five pounds instead of lost - did not make for a harmonious home when i got back from the vet's that day! so now i'm fobbing her off with alternate meals of puréed sweet potato with omega fatty acids (3-6-9), probiotics, and MSM. treatwise, it's for training only. they get snippets - and i do mean "snippets", talking the size of my pinky nail! - of cheese or deli meats or hot dogs (doggy crack!) as well as pieces of carrot, sweet potato, peanut or almond butter or butter in a kong or licked off my hand - teaches them "gentle". when they're driving me bonkers with hyperness, i toss a huge mongo bone - keeps them shut up for hours.

The Honest Kitchen = a dehydrated raw food.
Treats are bits of cheese, meat or veggies.

I have made my dog homemade treats and she loves em. I am having a problem with her weight now and I am soon going to be giving her homemade treats again.
My boyfriends father spoils the crap out of her and gives her human food ALL THE TIME and its upsetting even if we (my boyfriend and I) tell him not to. He's a retired doctor he should know that its bad for her to have a lot of human food. So back to homemade treats for her.

| I feed my dog Iams, but if I coul afford it I'd give her homemade foods. I give her homemade treats and scraps The treats (since I hate cooking and want to make them lat) are strictly for training but occasionally I'll give her part of my apple or whatever I dropped on the floor.
