I know this has nothing to do with animals but something I wanted to get your thoughts on. My aunt found kitties thrown by her house and she isn't allowed to keep them. Her husband told her to take them to the animal shelter and she did. She told them that they are abandoned baby kitties and so on. They told her they cannot take the kitties to put them back where she found them. Well knowing my aunt she didn't. She made a nice little place for them outside with hay and food and water. Her husband isn't to thrilled and told her she needs to find homes for the kitties or he might just kill them, he don't want them breeding.
I never knew animal shelters could or would turn animals down. Is what they did even legal? Kind of sad to hear because somebody is nice enough to save the animal by bringing them in but then good deed gets punished by being stuck with the animal who the person might not be able to keep or afford to keep. Makes me sick knowing that could cause more abandoned animals.

unfortunatly it happens. I have found kittens before, and the shelter told me they are full and can not take any more cats, that I would have to wait 2 weeks to bring them in because they would have room then. which sadley ment some cats would be put to sleep. So I took them home put an ad in the paper and found homes for them myself.

there is an abundance of kittens in the shelter already, and when they are full, there are full.
I would not what to do either.
The cost it will be to give them medical help, spay and neuter , feed and house them.
Not in a lot of peoples budget.
Also what many people forget is, we have a 10% unemployment rate in this country now, the little money people have is going to there own families, so they do not go under.
Donations to shelters will decline , as sad as it is.
