Soon winter will be here and usually I don't take my Westie for walks then because it gets extremely icy and snowy where I live...so I need some indoor exercise ideas! Please!

Well I am really big time into being "creative" and using your imagination. You should keep thinking up new game ideas that fun and gives exercise to your dog. Doing same thing daily might get boring for you (like it does me) so its always good to switch it up. If you have a room in your house where you want to use, turn it into an obstical course. Maybe a little tug of war, ball throwing (keep in mind you're in the house so don't go throwing it wildly, just calmly roll it or an inch in the air.) Maybe try "hide n seek" where while your dogs out of the room you hide 2-3 treats and then let your dog come in and find them. My dog loves that game because hes getting free treats but at same time hes getting his energy. Those are just some ideas, of course they wouldn't be releasing full energy like running outside or going for a walk, but they are creative and fun ideas. I am sure if you put your mind to it you could think of some new creative games.

I would work on obedience to help stimulate the mind. being a terrier I would try and make up games pertaining to what they were bred to do. You can get some cardboard tubes/boxes and make tunnels and train the dog to go through them. You can probably even find urine or to scent the tunnels for her.
