Imagine if you had to make the choice between feeding your children or your dog. that is what people are facing in todays hard economic times
so many people are in economic crisis that they have to give up their pets to feed their children. We should all consider doing something to help others in need. there is are great site called bowwow.bucks.org that is helping families in crisis keep their pets by paying for needed medication and pet food. Pucco, my cute little dog, is entered in the cutest dog competion and his goal is to help other dogs stay with their families. If he wins he will be donating to organizations that help dogs and families in economic crisis. see how cute he is- let me know if you think he adorable.

| as a mother and a wife of a disabled veteran who 2 month ago got laid off, the choice is clear, my HUMAN children come before any animal. Period.
Our Dogs are not spoiled,we're just well trained

Personally I feel that if you are struggling and have a family why put yourself more in debt by getting a pet? I think that is just foolish and crazy and caused your own fault for that. Now if the tables are turned and you had a good foundation and suddenly came to the point where if was your family or your pet, then I am going to have to go with your family. Various reasons but mainly because dogs can live off grass or food scraps. But hey, that is just me.

Our dogs are fine, they been that way for almost 12 and 7 years.
I am just simple answering the original posters question, I would not take in a dog I can not afford.
And if it would come down hard for us, they will be put on cheaper food, but they would be fine.
Our Dogs are not spoiled,we're just well trained
