| I'm going to try a clicker, although my husband read in the newspaper that dogs know about 169 words. I say Tah Da! Wow. Phred our new stray mommy dog-- I walk on a leash with LilBit. Now, lil Bit knows the road is danger, but I notice she stops points her head in that direction sniffs the air and waits until we pass before she continues on. Then on the back side (altogether maybe a 1/4 mile) Lil bit runs off a bit into the woods (humm) So, today we all played together and I thought I'll leave the leash on Phred but just run with them. Well Bit's took Phred into the woods. I finially caught up, and Lil Bit was going to leave Phred there (lost forsure). I really layed into Bit's verbally--amazingly enough the rest of the day she was an angel. Roadside travel she went out front and vered away from road interest, we rounded the back and she stayed in the yard (no interest). I guess she heard me
