| Hi there, We have a 12 week golden who has developed the habit of eating her feces after doing her business. I would love to hear from anyone that HAS actually has this problem with their pup and managed to resolve it. She will go in the backyard whilst off leash and she will quickly turn around and consume it. I have tried the bitter apple spray, which helps if I am hovering over her and manage to saturate it before she gets to it. However, occasionally she beats me to the punch! Has anyone tried the additives that you put in her food to deter dogs away from this behavoir and if so, was it successful? Thanks, eagle3

| Ground pumpkin seeds, pumpkin, pineapple chunks...all good natural methods. Probably more, but I'm too tired to think straight right now. It wouldn't hurt to pick up the pup's poo immediately, so she wouldn't have a chance to eat it.

| She may be missing some nutrients that are causing her to have an attraction to her poop. I have seen dogs who eat poop get banana treats, and they stop. Must be a mineral (potassium?) they get. Maybe she needs a suppliment.
