I have a 3 month old female, black lab named Sadie.  My main problem is her biting me.  I have done and tried everything in the books, on the TV and on the internet and she still continues to bite me.  I have many, many bruises.  I cannot play with her at all because she just wants to bite me.  She listens to my husband when he yells but does not pay attention to me.  I think every piece of clothing that I own has rip and bite marks in them from her. Help.  I have an email into an obedience trainer and I hope she responds soon.

First of all...DON'T SCREAM!!! Screaming only makes things worse. As soon as she bites, walk away. I have even (don't laugh!) yelped like a dog, telling them "That hurts me!" I know it sounds wierd, but for me, it has worked all the time!

My puppy, Rodeo, nips as well. When he was that age it was awful. He's 7 months now and only rarely nips. I did the same thing you do pitbullsrock28. Yelp like a dog and turn away. There was a huge change in the frequency and how hard he bit after only a few days. Hope it works for you too!

most puppies bite, it is normal, and yelling is the worst thing you can do, the dog will sense frustration, and in the end, you will be right back where you started from.

WE always walked away, with a loud firm voice said:NO!
and turned the other way, and walked away.
You then decide when playtime is over , not the dog.
