Just wondering if anyone heard or seen it on the news about the 250 chihuahuas that a 50 something year old man had in his house, including dead ones in the trunk of his car, walls, floors and fridge. It was sick and so sad. The man was a hoarder and thought nothing was wrong with what he was doing. And turns out he has mental illnesses ( not suprising). They have to tear the house down that the smell and everything else is so bad....And he might not even serve any jail time, Honestly I feel he should serve life for all the pain and suffering for all those poor dogs. What does anyone else think?

The crazy thing is I live like 15mins from where he lived. And I dont think anyone knew how many dogs he had and what was going on they just smelled something horrible and then it turned out to be all of those dogs. And yes Id have to agree he needs to me put in a hospital where he can get help. Its so sad for him and the dogs but more so the dogs. Because the survivers have dieases and are inbred.

According to DetroitNews.com, hundreds of people have come forward to the adopt the surviving 120-or-so dogs:
So many people have come forward looking to adopt Chihuahuas found in horrid living conditions in a Dearborn house this week that city animal shelter staffers used walkie-talkies Saturday to direct traffic.
Shelter volunteers were so swamped that they would only take contact information from prospective owners.
More than 400 people have signed up to take one of the dogs home, and the shelter on Greenfield Road was packed with would-be owners -- as well as concerned residents -- who dropped off donations of money and dog food for the animals.
The dogs are being evaluated by vets before they can be adopted. But it looks like they're ALL bound for happy homes! So there's a positive side to this story. I mean, 400 people want to spend money on dog adoption...in Detroit, the hardest-hit city of the recession.
