| I thought I would share some pictures of my sweet litter. They are nearing the eight week mark and I need new pictures... The puppies are developing wonderful and all are nice and fat. One of the males just loves to play tug of war... when I have them outside I can't walk without him hanging on to my foot. This litter has turned out really nice as I believe both males at this point are show quality. Needless to say we are going to repeat this breeding... These pictures are from birth to six weeks.... I had a few in between, but I'd be taking up to much room to share them all. I've always been fascinated with sheltie growth pictures.
Just born...
Five days old....
Seventeen days old...
Six weeks...

Sadly, no... I already have two nice males... If there was a show girl... I'd keep her in a heartbeat. Though my little girl is cute... she probably will just make the chart.
Don't you need another boy Jessica?

How sweet! Husband and I had discussed getting a sheltie, but our apartments have a 20 lb weight limit and a lot of them come close or go a little over and so we didn't want to risk a re-homing situation.
When I get my farm, though. Mark my words!

| Thanks... Oh my! You're so close. Well, if you get a farm someday... A sheltie would love nothing more...

Not "if", when!
We have actually started looking at the kinds of properties we like. We plan on having at least an acre, but likely more. Nothing too extreme. I think shelties and aussies are beautiful dogs so I want enough room for dogs like them to run, plus room for livestock and all of that. The prospect is exciting.
Perhaps when we are ready we'll be calling you for pick of the litter!

I had always kind of felt it was a pipe dream of mine ... to have a small animal farm [like Jon Katz, one of my inspirations]. Then one day my grandmother looked at me and said, "You will never be happy without a farm. Be sure to achieve that goal."
So when I met the man I am now married to and we became serious, I told him about how I felt and what she had said. He agreed after I nearly talked him into getting a miniature pig as a pet while we're still apartment dwellers.
We still have some years yet, but wherever we settle, be sure it will be a rather large plot of land!

| I'm growing out one of the males and the female... I've new pictures of them on my website at ajshelties. com click on the boy page and the girl page both of these babies are all the way at the bottom. I'm thinking of Ellie as the girl's call name and Chance as the boy's. The other boy went back to the breeder of the mom(also the stud owner)
