My dog's full name is Tia Maria Consuela Juanita Wages Barbee. When we got her from my aunt, everyone (my mom, my aunt, my cousins, my husband, and my daughter) was suggesting names for her and I didn't want anyone to feel left out. I put my favorite name at the beginning and just added the rest. Wages is my last name and Barbee is my husband's. She answers to Tia Maria and Tia and Tee-Tee.

Midnight got her name because she was black as a puppy. After her first haircut she turned out to be silver. I couldn't change her name because she was already learning to respond to it.

1 silver miniature poodle
1 albino reverse stripe leopard gecko

Lil bit', I picked her up at the shelter after thyroid surgery.  I was happy to live another day and it seemed fitting to rescue a four legged friend. You probably all say: "In a lil-bit", well maybe not, but I say it all the time, so I gave the name to her.

Phred is in memory of Fred our English Pointer. Phred looks and acts just like Freddy did.

Our Lhasa Apso was the runt of the litter and very tiny when we got her as a puppy, so we named her Coffeebean, since that's pretty small, and for her brown color. Now she just goes by Coffee.

And then there's Macy. She's my 3 year old Westie. I had lost my other Westie, Mac, and missed him terribly. A month after Mac died I found a Westie puppy for sale and got her. I chose the name Macy because when I was younger I used to spell the name Macky (which was Mac's nickname) M-A-C-Y and I didn't believe anybody when they told me that it was spelled otherwise. And so I chose Macy because of Mac's nickname (which was pronounced Macky, even though I spelled it M-A-C-Y)

Eleanor got her name from my partner before we were together. As you can guess its from the beatles song. But she doesn't fit it. Thats why I generally refer to her as Eleanor...sounds like a flower. From what I have heard it was either Eleanor Rigby or Lady Madonna...my partner is a beatles fan can you tell? We also have a Abbey Road and Penny Lane.

About 18 years ago we adopted a lab mix that came with the name Patty. At the time we lived in an apartment and even though we got approval to get a dog, the new management told us we had to get rid of her or be evicted because she grew over the 25lb weight limit. (She was 40 lbs).

Almost a year later a neighbor's JRT had pups. Out of the litter there was one pure blonde female. She looked exactly like our first Patty right down to the white tip on her tail. Since I knew she would stay small, I took her home. I told my then 3 year old son our first Patty was home, that I had brought her to the vet and they gave her a pill and shrunk her. Now she would never have to leave again because she would always stay small. He hugged the puppy "Patty" and he started to cry, " I love you Patty, I missed you so much!" We still have that Patty 17 years later.

Harry was an easy call, he was homeless and didn't come with a name. I took one look at him in the garden all wet and dirty and I knew... Harry the Dirty Dog from the children's book.
