Beautiful stacks! Go to my website to look at the stacks on my dogs: Go to Brandy and Bruno's pages and that is what a GSD stack should look like.

I have a question, what is stacking?  I have never heard this term.  You might can tell I'm new at all this.  Thanks

Stacking is a term used for the way to stand a dog properly in the show ring. From what I've seen it's most generally a comfortable box type stance with the front legs straight and the back legs slightly stretched behind. It might not be the same for all breeds but that's what I noticed during the dog shows I've watched. I'm sure someone could give a more accurate answer than that.

The AKC you mentioned is baiting.

They use food to teach it and that can be done in any show.

The judge is looking at the dog, so if you can stack it that way that is fine for most shows.

Or you can do it by watching how it is done or have a handler show you how.
