Ok I know this isn't the picture section but I figured I'd get more answers here. So here is my baby, wini. Please answer these questions(for each picture): Is this a good stack? Is her conformation good/good enough to show? And other comments too!

and compare those to her as a litttttle baby:

Thanks! Oh and any tips for training her to stack? I have to hand stack her. I saw on tv, at the euk. AKC show a guy lead his GSD right into a stack without touching him. I really want to get into showing but have never done it. We can't do any training classes, there arn't any in our area and the are too exspensive!

Post the pictures, I'd love to see them.

There are many books that may be helpful to you.  One of them is "Show Me!"  If I remember correctly I think Caroline Coile is the author.

Great job training your dogs to stack!  They both look good.

However, I can't evaluate them further from those pics.  Pics need to be straight on (square) from the side and on a level with the dog.

oops just realized it was the same dog.  She had more bone as a puppy.  How old is she now?  Is she in coat or out of coat in the adult picture?  Again, can't go by those pics for conformation though.

As for the dog learning to walk into a stack (free stack/self stack) that comes after teaching them how to hand stack.  I work hand stacking first.  Then I start teaching them to freebait just working on expression/head up/front legs in place.  When I have a dog who will stand when told and alert/correctly up front I then start to work on moving their bodies till all four feet are in the right position.  Back up, stepping forward, stepping left/right.  This is done with bait at their mouth and guiding slightly with the hand/bait forward/back/side to side till the dog hits the right spot and then rewarding.  As the dog catches on and starts to stand correctly on it's own it gets rewarded.  If a leg is out of place I'll put it where it should be (with my hands) and then reward.  They catch on.  A well built dog can self stack really well and without much work.  A dog with structural flaws may have a more difficult time with it.

Very good! Congrats and good luck! I like how you did not completley arch her back like some do. She looks good, and the saddle looks dark!
