I was just wondering who's against pitbulls? I have two 9 month old pitbulls(brother & sister). Their names are Spot & Claudette. I've seen people in the internet opposing pitbulls and the other bully breeds. To admit the truth, when I was younger I USED TO BE AFRAID. That was because of all the publicity. One day after a volleyball game, my family decided to visit Petsmart and Petco because I love dogs. They wanted to make it up to me because of giving up my Irish Setter which by the way came from a breeder which was a scam. Horrible behavior, too expensive for too much money ($1,500). As I was walking in the store in Petco, I saw two little cute yellow labs (8 weeks). I didn't notice they were already adopted. So we moved onto Petsmart which was like 5 minutes away. I saw 2 black and white pitbulls. The volunteers of the adoption program said they had been abandoned by their owner(they were unwanted because there were "too many puppies to take care of". The girl was shy and timid. She would run away from everyone when they let her out of the cage. Soon after, I saw myself holding her in my arms. We had this trust or bond with eachother. My little sister took the brother. They are the sweetest dogs. Claudette, the one who used to be timid is now all playful, running to recieve people, and even when i'm sitting down, she rests her head up against my lap. They're like any other dog. One of the best be honest. Chihuahuas and the little toy dogs, forget them! When will they be useful in an emergency?Pitbulls will do anything for their family. And that is why I am against people who waste their time posting topics in the internet just talking about violence. That was atleast 150 years ago! Don't you think they've adapted to a loving attitude? Look at Bull Mastiffs they were used for the Romans with the soldiers. Do they just run to you and start abusing you. These are the owners. And that is why the breeders or shelters ask you, "Will you be responsible?" If not, walk away, because your just putting a bad reputation for this breed. They are innocent.

Not me. I love the cute things.
I can't really say that I've ever been afraid of them. I've been a dog lover all my life, and I've never met a dog I didn't love.

I love pitties its not the breed(s) that make those dogs fight its the owners. If dog fighting never existed there would be millions of people with the "bully breeds".I agree with everyone else!!!!!!!!

A dog dosent care if your rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull.Give him your heart and he will give you his.It was really quite simple, and yet we humans,so much wiser and more sophisticated, have always had trouble figuring out what really counts and what does not.~John Grogan

Not me, one of my late sheltie's buddies was a rescue pitbull, who was a lover, plus my aunt's best friend has a pitbull, and he is such a lover too. It's not the breed its the people who own them, like with any other dog breed.
