| At 4:30 am Christmas morning, with her head cradled in my arms as I sang her "her" two favorite songs, our beloved greyhound girl DeeDee left us. She is now buried in our back yard, next to our late daughter Lora's dog Charcoal, with the one toy she could still play with with only 4 teeth left -- "her" toy -- I couldn't bear to see & hear the other dogs playing with it, so it's with her body. DeeDee was much more to me -- to us -- than just a pet, especially with the hole left in our hearts from the loss of our daughter Lora. She was a true comfort, a heart-companion, who instinctively knew how to distract me on my down days. While we only had her for three of her 8 years, it feels as though she's always been ours... our hearts are so broken. In Loving Memory Always eager to please.. Your clownish ways..
