First, contact the nearest Corgi club to you. AKC. org can help with that. Also, in every month's Dog Fancy and Dog World, there are listings for upcoming shows. Look there for what's coming up in your area.

honestly dog fancy or dog world will not help you with showing. if you want to show you need to contact a breeder that shows corgis.  if you want a magazine with a complete listing of shows you will need the akc gazette

the best place to find a show near you is akc.org go to the site click on events go down to the bottem right corner where it says up coming events, put in the info it asks for and you should find a whole list of upcoming shows. to find a club in your area on the homepage there is a list of stuff on the left. click on club search, then conformation clubs by state. I would leave it on all breed, then pick your state and do a search. hope this helps.

the first step would be to see if their are enough corgi's in your area with people willing to join the club. then you woul have to talk to akc to see what other steps a needed.

One last question where would be the best place to get the tools needed to show.

The same company that publishes DOG FANCY and DOG WORLD also publishes DOGS IN REVIEW. You might want to look into it if you're looking for a publication that focuses around dog shows.

www dogchannel com/dog-magazines/dogsinreview/default.aspx
(include "." between www and com)

Or click on the "Dog Magazines" tab on Dog Channel and scroll down to view the Dogs in Review summary. You can reach the same link I posted above through there.

DogChannel also has a listing of Dog Events. Go to the DogChannel homepage. On the tab next to "Dog Insider" (near the middle of the page) it's title "Dog Events." Click on it and it will bring up weekly dog events and Conformation and Performance events.
