She probably didn't. However, a neutered dog can get a female pregnant up to a month after being neutered. There is a "morning after" shot that you can get at the vet's office, I believe.

Hopefully not, but to be sure, you can have her checked by a vet. Good luck.

No chance of it because he has no sperm.. I have seen dogs tie before (even years after), it's not uncommon...So I wouldn't worry about it at all...

Actually, when a dog is neutered there is still some live sperm left in his tubes for about a week after being neutered, so it IS possible that the dog got her female pregnant. The sperm can live up to a month, but that's not common.

I hate to be blunt with you, but I'm saying this for your own good. You are not showing common human decency. My mom always says, "If you don't have anything nice or helpful to say, don't say anything at all." Sadly, a lot of people on these chat forums pick each other to death.

A bit of advice: Strive to be helpful and positive, and mind your own business! Unless they ask you for your opinion on a certain subject, you really sholudn't give yours. Its not polite and gives others the impression that you are a jerk. (Hope that didn't sound too blunt!) I knw you have something better to say!

Wishbone, while I get what you are talking about, I don't see how Dobermom was being offensive with her inquiry in the first place... To me and to any dog lover that is a legit question, and she didn't call anyone names. The tone is up to you do decide but it doesn't necissarily mean that you are correct in your inference.

Seeing how many dogs die because of dog owners irresponsibility, if someone (especially a dog savy) is blunt about that irresponsibility, then I don't think we can blame them they deserve it. Now I'm totally against people jumping to conclusions and bashing on someone that didn't give the full extent of their situation, but I fail to see Dobermom's question as "Jumping to conclusions".

Next time a PM would be better

I can't tell you that you are wrong or that you are right, but using common sense I would say that you are wrong. The dog's gametes can't survive in the temperature as high as the the body temp of a regular dog, thats why they are naturally kept slightly away from the body. However, if you can provide me with credible evidence that would refute that idea, then I'll agree with ya

No links available or anything. It's just what a vet tech told me.

My advise, you watch your tone.
I am more then helpful, but, your comments show, you are getting angry, because I am not telling you what you want to hear.

I guess, it sounds like a personal problem.
