Trixie 604 (7/25/2008) Did the judges help come up with the challenges for the dog/owner teams -- for the big dog suite in the house as well as the best in show competition? No, the judges knew nothing about either the Dogbone (preliminary) challenges or the Best in Show Elimination challenges until the day of the elimination when we arrived on the set. The challenges, however, were conceived with the help of several professional dog trainers (not Victoria, one of the judges). They were also the same trainers who demonstrated the challenges to the contestants in the house.

misoshiru (7/25/2008) Wasn't it unfair for JD and Galaxy to do the Frisbee? (But it was funny that Galaxy missed the first throw!)
Which of the obstacles do you think is the most difficult -- Frisbee, rings, teeter-toter/maze, pushing the cart or the team pulling the cart?
Pushing the cart, probably... because it's the most unusual. It's not part of any regulation agility course. We did comment to Travis that it was rather bizarre to have the Boxer sitting in the cart while the little guys were expected to pull him!

| Did Presley and Preston's owners actually date? They really played up the romance angle in the previews, but there wasn't much in the show except a comment by Travis.

meeser5 (7/25/2008) In last night's episode, I felt a real camaraderie among the judges. They even teased you a little which was cute. Are the judges developing a stronger relationship and does that make the judging process any easier?
Also, why did the judges not want to hear about Elvis' issue of biting the other dogs in the house? There's been great chemistry among the three judges right from the start... but not much time given in the earlier episodes to show it... so we all look rather serious, jotting down notes and not chatting much. With fewer contestants left and their personal bios already known to the viewers, there seems to be more time being given to the judges and the judging process. We actually deliberated for at least an hour on every one of these decisions. As far as Elvis' biting, I think we were surprised that Laurie would "sell David out," to use Wendy's words, and not be more supportive of a fellow teammate. David struck me as a kind and gentle man but frankly, I think he absolutely picked the wrong breed. David clearly overindulges Elvis; it is David's first dog, and I think Elvis isn't quite convinced that he's supposed to listen to David.

They were seen in the pool together, along with the dogs, and it was clear that Brandy and Beth Joy weren't happy about that. Preston the Pom is a cool little dog, loved but not overly coddled. He really did enjoy playing with Presley. The "romance angle" makes for good TV but I'm not aware that anything was going on between them other than just hanging out and not being as melodramatic as some of the other owners.

Do you think they'll have a reunion show? It'd be nice to see if some of the dogs kicked off have made progress with the things the judges commented on.

But a Season 2 would be even cooler! Keep watching and maybe it will happen. "Greatest American Dog" has been so well received.

BeagleBabe:: That would be such a great idea, just like survivor and at the end the host can ask questions to the owners of the most anticipated questions by viewers. I would like to find out if Laura and Travis will date after the show is over.
Mixed Breeds Rule!!!! ♥Love God♥
