I herd on the news that people were taking STRAY dogs & cats and put them on a line out in the ocean as shark bait to hunt sharks. These Dogs & Cats were hung in hooks ALIVE. I think his is cruel and sad. Here is an e-mail i got from Kendra about it:

STRAY dogs are being skewered on hooks and dragged behind boats as
live shark bait. The cruel practice takes place on French-controlled
Reunion in the Indian Ocean . A six-month-old labrador pup was recently
found ALIVE with a huge do uble hook through its snout, and another
through a leg. The pup was found in a coastal creek and is thought to have somehow freed itself from a fishing line, but other dogs and
kittens have been chomped up and swallowed by sharks. Please sign this petition and end this cruel practice.

That is disgusting.. I think I remember hearing about this once before, is this really true?? I can only hope not...

Well it's on National Geographic's website, not that that means it's necessarily true, but they do have a picture of a dog with a hook in its nose.. so sad.

*edit* oh I just saw the Snopes site and they had the same photo.. hmm..

Well it is sick that photo is really sick, makes me wanna puke. Humans can be very sick and I hope those who did it to the dogs have to be punished the EXACT same way no matter how cruel it is , I believe if you do something that sick you should have to suffer the same way.
