Yea you have a forum about you starting a new breed so why wouldnt you know how to take care of a pregnant dog??? I think you should let her have her puppies, get them GOOD homes, spay your dog and forget trying to be a breeder!!! And stop telling people you are a breeder of the new dog breed Miniature Notts!!

Punish the Deed, Not the Breed! Pit Bulls are dogs too!

I'm sorry but something seems to be wrong with you

First of all, you tried to prove that you were a responsible breeder breeding mini whatevers.

Now your dog is prego and you have no idea what to do?

Sounds very bi polar if not fishy

First of all, you need to take your dog to the veterinarian so that the vet can check on her health and that of the puppies. Since she's already pregnant, the best thing to do would be to bone up on what pregnant dogs need. You need to go to the vet to see if he recommends a special diet or supplements. If so, make sure you do whatever the vet says. Second, I would begin looking into good homes for the puppies. Raising good puppies is hard work. You've got vaccinations, socializing, and other care. The mother needs to have regular checkups to assure the health of the pups.

Near birthing time, make sure she has a whelping box. You can find fancy ones, but a regular box with nesting materials also works. Make sure it's out of a place with foot traffic and quiet. She will probably begin panting or tearing/digging at the materials at the box when it's time to whelp. Make sure you're near, but don't interfere in the process unless something is wrong. You should have your vet's number handy in case there is difficulties with the birthing process. She will tear off the sac after the puppy is born and eat the afterbirth. Don't interfere too much!

Please spay or neuter you pet after she has had the puppies and when the vet says she's ready. We've got a big enough pet overpopulation problem as it is. If you can't find homes for the puppies, contact your local rescue organization or ASPCA. And please, please spay or neuter.

I agree.  I personally have no problem with people trying to start a new breed, but if you don't even know what to do with A pregnant dog you definantly shouldn't be breeding dogs at all, let alone trying to make a new breed!!  If you are going to be a breeding you need to get educated.  I'm sure your intentions are good, but please try to understand breeding shouldn't be something that is taken into until you know what you are doing!!!  As for questions about dealing with the pregnancy, whatever your questions are I'd ask your vet.
