I find that in regards to potty training, even basic obedience, people tend to be very tense and impatient. Your dog will pick up on these negative emotions and will feel confused, upset and even scared because of this. I know that potty training is very important, but you have to ease up and not make such a big deal out of accidents. Of course, you have to praise the dog when it does it's business outdoors. A calmer attitude goes a very long way, believe me. Your dog will learn at it's own pace. So what if the co-worker's pup was housebroken in 2 days, maybe your's will take 2 weeks, and maybe 2 months, but it WILL happen. Be consistent and calm! Good luck to all.
