what type of collar? an electric collar would be the most effective. also I would never leave him outside unsupervised. I hope that when you say he chases this stuff that he is in a fenced in yard chasing and not running free! that would be extremely dangerous and irresponsable and could be the death of your dogs!

this is why dogs should never be allowed to run free! he either needs to be kept on a leash or confined to a kennel when outside! you know he chases vehicles he should have never been allowed to run when some one was out there.

Wow he's lucky!! He could have been really hurt or killed!!!!!

Your little dog has fear aggression. I am an obedience trainer at Anderson Obedience Club.
Help your dog to become social by enrolling in a good obedience training club. I mean one in your area that has been in business a long time. The training offered at stores are not training to meet all of the dogs and owners needs. Store classes are also charging twice as much as credited training programs.

Our dog does this too, and even guards the fence that lines the sidewalk barking and getting
agressive with passers by. Our vet told us to keep a collar on him with his leash. Even if we aren't walking him.
when he starts this behavior, we are to immediately tell him no, and lead him from the area.
make him sit and take a time out. If he continues to bark, we take him in the house and don't praise him for anything. He doesn't like this at all and is slowly learning and getting better when he is outside.
Also he mentioned that when we walk him, We might want to consider a Muzzle so he can't attack other dogs. I haven't had the heart to do that yet, but I might some day.
He is worse when he's in his yard than on walks.

Take Care,
Lisa R.

Walk the dog twice a day or three times a day it makes for a tired dog and that is good . Are do some like agility work with our dog and make it tired that way . I think a tired dog is good to have . That is my tip for the day .
