I'm not a mod...just web savvy.  I used to design websites for nonprofits, so I have ways to pull IP addresses in certain circumstances.

LOL doggiespaces doggyspaces whatever!  Off to check it out!

Web savvy means knowing your way around the World wide web. but i do have to agree, knowing people IP adresses on a site you dont own or isnt a mod at does seem odd. Its makes you wonder, who are you really talking to on the internet.

I just made the mistake of letting someone know my adress. my home adress and now they used me and turned on me. For those of you out there who dont wanna listen to your parents, listen to them. you may seem mad at the time but there really trying to save u. I didnt listen to mine and now i gotta worry that this person is taking my adress and spreading it to the world.

Leslie, the mod on doggyspaces is always online

Actually, yes.  You simply are confusing the definition of 'hacker'.  A hacker is not a person who breaks into websites, etc.  That is a 'Cracker', but for whatever reason the media has proliferated the use of the word 'hacker' in the wrong context.  Most programmers and security specialists consider themselves hackers.  It's really the 'crackers' you need to watch out for.

It doesn't take a "hacker" to view IP addresses... in fact, you can view them on this site when you go to "Who's Online".

Anyhoo, we're going way off topic.  I think we have a general consensus that the lack of moderation on the DC sites is apparent in the problems which continue to crop up.
