Lablover, that's too bad! I haven't lost a dog yet, (Thankfully.), but
I have had many cats disappear, and four have died. (Three from cars, one we had rescued with his mother and siblings from awful conditions. We think he may have lost too much blood from flea bites.)

We have decided to get two kittens from my aunt, Sophie, a tortishell, (sp?) and Cassie, who is black and white. We're supposed to get them Friday. Unfortunately, Sophie is sick right now. We don't know what she has, but my aunt has her in quarantine for now. If she doesn't get better, I do know some more kittens at the Humane Society in need of a home, but hopefully she'll get better.

Heidi-12 year old female Chow Chow/German Shepherd.
Misty-4 year old female half Siberian Husky, half German Shepherd.
Jaxon-1 year old male purebred Siberian Husky.
Jazzie-6 month old Siberian Husky mix.
Cocoa-3 month old Shih Tzu/Rat Terrier/Chihuahua.

I am sorry for your loss.

question.

what about your brother???
what did he had to say about that situation?
He should be the one replacing your animal, even tho you can never replace a beloved pet.

*Finds post randomly* Wow...this was a while back.

He didn't really say anything...but I know he felt bad. We all loved Prissy. It was impossible not to.
Oh well, we've moved on now, and we've got Callie and Kip. (Seems a lot different than Cassie and Sophie...but Sophie died before she was old enough to go home with us so we got Callie and Cassie, then we found out Cassie was a boy and we named him Carson, then.....rather not get into that. But we lost him. Kip was a wild cat and we rescued and tamed him. Such a great kitty! )
o.O I ranted. XD
