Not about dogs, but still.

I just found out that my brother ran over my new favorite cat, Prissy. She wasn't much older than Jaxon. She was alive, but they had her put to sleep. Every time I love a cat something bad happens to it!

Yes, we're going to get another kitten, because just recently I fell in love with some at the Humane Society. We will either get those or some of my aunt's new kittens, I don't know which. Two of them at the Humane Society are yellow tabbies, two are torties. (I have a real soft spot for yellow tabbies.)

I still love Prissy a lot and always will.

So sorry to read about Prissy.  It's never easy when you lose an animal, they truely are part of the family.  I feel your pain.  Best of luck with finding a new kitty and I hope things go well for you.  Let us know what you call your new kitty and what it looks like ect.

Thanks for your sympathy Rue. We have lost three cats in about nine months to cars, all of them were someone's favorite. (Prissy and Prancer my favorites, Socks my mom's. Prancer will always be my all-time favorite baby boy.)

We're not sure if we'll get another anymore, thanks to the awful luck we've had with the recent babies. I'm willing to give it one more try, but my mom is skeptical.

If we do get another kitty, I'm almost sure it will be a yellow tabby. I fell in love with two of them at the Humane Society, and if we get another cat it will probably be one of those.

You think I'm this bad about our kitties, imagine how I'll be when Jaxon leaves. I was blubbering like a baby when he got into a fight! (He came out without a scratch on him, but it shook me up really bad!)

Oh, that's so sad! Really sorry Huskies, I know how tough it is to lose a pet, we lost two cats last year. Have you ever considered having an indoor only cat?? Much less chance of getting run over, and over all a longer life span.  It's really not that different that an outdoor cat, but I've heard indoor cats are more affectionate. I certainly beleve it! (I've got several!)

BTW, you can't go wrong with orange tabbies, we have two of them, they always seem to be underfoot. They love any and all attention.

But again, really sorry over your kitty that died.

We've tried, this first time, (Socks.), all we ever got was catuerwauling! He loved to caterwaul.... Our second attempt, (Sassy.), had the cat puking up hairballs and messing in the house. (I think that may have been because she was taken from her mother too early, we got her at the Humane Society when she was only a few weeks old!) Sassy also has an awful personality, scared of everyone and everything, especially me.

Yellow tabbies have always been my favorite, my first cat was one, (Prance.), such a sweet little boy, he disappeared. Then we got Tiger, always hungry, but such a little Momma's boy! He disappeared as well. Then Prancer, most likely the best cat I ever had, and I think he would've stayed if he wasn't run over. I loved him sooooooooooo much.

Thing is, Prissy was a cat I could relate to. My mom said we have the same personality. I actually thought that she liked me best. When Jax ran off the other day and I decided to just sit and wait for him to come back, Priss sat and waited with me. She meowed and made me pet her, settled down in the chair next to mine, then got up and settled at the exercise trampoline at my feet.

That's too bad about Max, rainsmom. Here's a picture of Priss with her best bud, Nala.

Here's a Rainbow Bridge picture that one of our catster/dogster friends in the A-Team group made for us.

Our male cat, Mickey, is neutered but believe it or not, he still sprays. That's why my parents don't like having him in. All of our cats are inside/outside, except for Sylvia. (She refuses to come in.) Thing is that Prissy and Nala were the ones inside the most.

We'll probably be getting one from my aunt now, we went there earlier today and looked at them. (She has over twenty cats and two litters of kittens, along with 11 dogs.) We think we'll get the one that's like half black, half white, if it's a girl.

I REALLY would try an indoor only cat again, just keep it TOTALY inside, dont let her outside even for a couple of minutes, because that would just increase her interest in the outdoors, and that could easily cause catwaulering. Then just keep her interested in being kept indoors, play with her alot, make her feel special But really, I'd try again with an indoor only "House Cat."

Sorry again about Prissy, she sounds really sweet! Hope you adopt another one soon!

I am so sorry!!!! I lost two dogs, that i both loved with my heart, they were my loyal babies. I lost phoenix (1) becuase she got hit by a car. I then got a replacement MIdnight (2). Then she died a 1/2 a year later, when a blood vein ruptured, this was a year ago. I just recently lost 2 of my cats (Blackie and Mocha) also my babies, they wandered off, and then just about a week ago, my dog freckles. She was suffering dog lupus, rumitioid arthridus, and auto immune issues. She was old faithful to me. THen before phoenix died, i had just lost my cat, Duchess. Then a wierd thing was, the dog that got hit by a car (Phoenix) i adopted her on 9/11, creepy isn't that?!?!? I miss them SO much!!
