I have two female dogs who love and cuddle each other. We adopted both from the pound in November. One is a 4 year old maltipoo mix and the other a jack russel mix. We live in the Antelope Valley (desert). The dogs are in doors most of the time when we are home. But, Mon thru Fri in winter are in the garage. But, we have not experienced a summer there yet. It gets very hot and I am worried that the temp will be too much for both, but especially the maltipoo. Please tell me that she will be okay. We are planning to get the igloo. We have a small toddler swimming pool, a water dispensor. Is this okay? Please advise. Because jack russel mix is very hyper and a puppy my husband does not want them in the house when we are at work. We are trying to enjoy our dogs and provide for them a great home, without compromising our quality of life....meaning....the house being torn up inside. Please advise. Thanks.

Crate training adult Maltese

I have a 3 year old Maltese who was rescued from an animal hoarder and I am trying to crate and house train her. She is doing ok with the house training because we never let her out of our sight. However, the crate training is a different story. She potties in her crate almost every day and night. I am very diligent about cleaning the crate to get rid of the smell but nothing seems to help. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Having problem with my Maltese puppy eating his poop

I have tried the "Forbid" in his food and now I am trying pineapple.
