I think that dying a dogs hair is risky but if you make sure with a vet first that it is okay then I think it is alright to do it. But i would have a problem with it if someone did it by themselves...I would have a professional groomer do it if I ever did it. One time I was outside and sidewalk chalk was on the street. Zack was sniffing it and he got some of it on his lips. His lips were pink and it was so adorable! I can see why some people would want to dye their dogs.

Wow that 2nd one!! I agree, I think they look kinda neat. I'm not against it as long as they use safe products, after all people die their hair funky colors themselves! I'd never dye my Poppy or anything, but if its safe then It's not hurting anybody. JMO.

I am against it. Dogs are not fashion accessories. I hate seeing a dog get all dressed up to. I wouldn't want to be all dressed up like that. The dog can't talk and say when they had enough of your bull-crap (lack for a better word.) Just let the dog be and go dye your own hair.

Edit**- See those photos there, I find that sick. Why anyone would do that, has a fried brain. I pity the dog that had to go through all that bull. I don't find it cute, I find it disgusting and stupid.

Anyway, it works if you have a really light coloured dog and there are a variety of options availible to use that are safe for pets. Personally though, if one wants a dog dyed its best to leave it to a professional as they know how to do it safely and effectively. To be honest with you I'm not 100% where to buy proper dyes to begin with, I've only helped dye a dog a couple of times.

Oh no no I wouldnt dye Molly, and honestly I don't think my mom would let me. I was just wondering because Ive seen dogs walking down the street with coats that arnt natural like these...some of them look kinda neat though I have to say.

Dying a dogs fur in my opinion is STUPID!!! To me who cares about that if I was to see a dog with blue or purple fur I would be like WTF and probily think that the person was insaine. Dogs are not barbie dolls or play toys they are living things. Besides dyes can cause cancer in the fur. To me its a waste of money. The things people do.

There not barbie dolls lol!! that made me laugh

There are safe alternatives for dying a dogs coat, but honestly you would be wasting your money with Molly. They only really work for light coloured dogs, aside from the white spot on her chest and the few lighter hairs that she has, her coat is much too dark to take up any dye (The only colour you could really dye her is black...).

I think it's farely safe if you use it the proper way.There's really no reason for it but they use it for showing or for fun.I've always wanted to make Simba's fur blue.

a lot of people that show dogs dye the fur or use chalk to make the fur look darker or whiter I am not sure what they use to dye the fur it is probably safe for dogs. you would have to ask pudlegrl she is invoved in showing and would know more than i do

Sorry but do you remeber the last BIG fight/mess everyone got into when someone started that same topic... i dont wanna think about it! *shivers* that was a maxed out mess of hurt feelings. just tryin to say i dont think we need another one. ** just to state my answer again, i think its stupid no reason for it. some dogs could get really harmed by the cehmicals..**

I heard some people dye their dogs coats but why? Is it like for fun and will wear off or something or is it permanent? And also where would you buy the dye for the fur since I'm sure human hair dye isnt safe for pets. I don't want to dye Molly's coat I'm just wondering about it.
