We have 3 dogs. Two look like what they are. The other people think is a yellow lab, purebred. She is really shepherd and rotty.

Everyone else is ok.

My Cane Corsos are mistaken for Pits, Presas, and even; for some reason; someone said a rottwielr and he said he knew nothing about dogs, and I could tell, lol. Well cute dog!!

Buck is a Heinz 57. I know he's German Shepherd/Husky/Lab for sure...whatever else is in there...I have no idea. I've had people mistake him for a purebred shepherd. I was walking him the other day and some guy asked me if I got him from the K-9 unit from the cops. I told him no and that Buck was definitely not a police dog. The guy actually started arguing with me that he was right! He kept saying that Buck was definitely a purebred and definitely works for the cops

But from that one picture, if that is him, he does look purebred to me. Why do you think that he's mixed? I'm not saying he isn't,he probably is a mixed breed, just curious. GSDs come in a variety of colors.

Sorry it took me so long to write back on this. That is Buck in the pic. My husband got Buck from a farm when he was 10wks old. Shane was in a Christian rock band at the time and they were playing at a church over an hour away from where we live. They were setting up and Shalne looked out the window and saw a mother dog and a bunch of pups walk by all in a line. He and the guys went out to check them out and Buck immediately ran up to Shane to have his belly rubbed and Shane fell in love. A kid came flying out of the bushes and said they were his dogs and they had run off. The dogs had walked almost a mile! Shane asked the kid what they were doing with the pups and he said that they were taking them to the farm auction. The youth leader called the family for Shane and they gave him Buck and wouldn't take any money. Shane met the mother dog and she is the shepherd. The family said the dad was a husky mix. They even had Buck's grandmother there and they said that she was a lab mix. That's what I know about his history.

Someone called Sandy a "shaved golden retriever" and I had a good laugh at that. Our neighbor asked us if Sandy was a "Chesapeake bay retriever" when we first got her.

lol somebody to guess a shaved golden must really be bad at telling dog breeds lol. Nobody can guess stars breed but they are always way off on his age

Cinnamon's never been mistaken for anything. Everyone can tell she's a poodle. However, there was one lady at Petsmart one time who was asking me about Cinnamon and how old she was. When I told her, she was surprised. She thought she was a puppy. I was like, "no, she's a full-grown miniature poodle". She told me she'd never heard of them before

Back in Mousey's younger days people would think she had some greyhound in her because she would always run super fast. But now it seems that old age caught up with her hehe Btw Mousey is the black dog.

Most people mistake Tycho for some mix breed with a wiener dog, lol! Once I tell them what breed they're all shocked because they've never heard of one before.

Our youngest dog is a black pomeranian who is sporting a teddy bear haircut for summer. I can't tell you how many people have asked me if he's a skipperke. After seeing photos of skipperkes, I now know why people have been asking!

Poppys been mistaken for a cockapoo, a purebred poodle and Purebred Schnauzer, and some lady even though he was a Dandi Dimont Terrier(sp?)!!
