Bubba D. had his first experience with fireworks and didn't like them at all because where we were, you couldn't tell where the sound was coming from. 2 nights later, people were setting off some serious fireworks (not just firecrackers) and Bubba was cool with it because the sound was directly from the site, not bouncing around in all directions. Bubba has also been around gunfire with no problem, except his first reaction is to go attack the person firing. We'll check him out in a different location next year. The previous comment about what the trainer said is very true, but you have to get it together before the dog becomes totally overwhelmed. Good luck everyone !!!!!

Ralph hates fireworks.... we have a big 4th of July party at mom's house and we actually seen them somewhere else before that. First time we went Ralph stopped listening to us and was so scared he was shaking. Dad held him and pet him the whole time and he seemed to ease alittle. On the 4th, his 2nd time, he just layed there, but didn't really watch. He is find with thunderstorms though, so I don't get it. Ralph is in basic obedience and the trainer told me not to console, comfort, or repremend your dog when he is scared. So, on the 4th we tried it. And it really seemed to work. She said, just ignore your pup or dog when the fireworks or big noises are going off. If they see that you are not scared, then they will not be scared themselves. But if you are saying -- "oh, its okay, it will be done soon. shhh, don't be scared baby...etc.." then they will think that its ok and they should be scared. I don't know, it really was a big difference between the 1st and 2nd time of watching the spectacular booms.

I'm not sure, because we kinda live in the middle of nowhere, so we can't really hear fireworks...lol.
I'm sure they wouldn't like them, though.

had to not vote. my dogs do none of the above. they actually want to catch the fireworks. they seem to think the bright lights are some kinda toy.

annies pretty much cool with it, just a bit curious sometimes. shell perk her ears up put her head up and to the side. its sooo funny! LOL!

Molly's first year with fireworks nearly gave me a heart attack! We got the kind you light up yourself and when we lit it she ran up to it and was smelling the little sparks just before it went of I literaly had to dive and step on the the firework seconds before it went off LOL!!! Phew! I'll never forget that fourth of July Molly's a little too curious for her own good. And btw this will be her second year with the fireworks if we decide to do them again. Oh ya and Molly loves the picilo pete ones that scream she props her little ears up its soooo cute!

Sandy doesn't mind them but my other two dogs run and hide under the bed. Its funny you walk in and you see their little waits sticking out of the bed.

Spencer is pretty much "What's that noise?" He looks up at me, if I am calm, he assumes it's fine and walks on.

It doesn't bother Cinnamon that much. She'd go check out what the noise was after the first sounding, but after that wouldn't pay it any mind. But my cat Shadow would bolt for the nearest hidey-hole

It don't bother Star but when our neighbor sets them off it shakes the house which makes me jump.

Simba goes banananas. He starts barcking and it's annoying, but i still love him.

*edit* I pressed cool camelian instead of scaredy cat.Ugh, i swear i'm going blind.
