im new here and only been here 5 seconds, anyway i use to be on a dog forum site and i left because i was called a racial slur and the mods did nothing so i deleted my profile.

I think its unfortunate that some people use this website to be mean and demeaning to others. The purpose should be for dog lovers to share tips and information with each other. And while what works for one person may not work for another, it is great to have a place to go and get feedback from other dog lovers. While I realize that sometimes tone can be misinterpreted through an email message, there are some messages that are quite clearly rude.

While i understand what you are saying remember it is not just happening on dogchannel. Also though its sad to say their are people all over the world who just try to start trouble their is really no way of completely stopping it.

I am not talking about "world-wide peace" loard knows that will never happen. I am talking about a litte bit of peace here on DC boards and by the e-mail confermation thing that would SAVE Alot of "fake e-mails" from being used which can reduce the number of bad fake dogs.

I am protective of my photos and on my MySpace I always mark it so people cannot copy the photo and save it. I don't...

-Post photos of my dog on here because I don't want people reading it then saving the photo and creating unwanted profiles. Then having problems because it’s my photo and getting put on the spot for something I didn’t do. I do post photos of my dog from time to time but I won’t post all of them.
-Join them sites because it is full of drama for the 'Pre'teens and they don't understand about how to act like a civilized human and will get mad over anything then plan "revenge" which is a waste of time and you get stressed out.

If somebody said something mean to you, why do you let it bother you? Why don't you just ignore them?? Why even give them that satisfaction knowing that they hurt your feelings? It is just some stupid kid who is getting "joy" out of acting like a retard. You just have to learn to laugh at them because why would a person even waste their time going around leaving nasty comments? When I hear that, I think of somebody who is mindlessly board and if it is a grown woman, I really have to laugh at how "immature" they are acting. Just laugh it off, don't let if bug you.

I understand that their are some but why do they have to steal photos?!? Why cant the take a photo a stuffed dog that they own? I get really frustrated with the "virtual dogs" that they make after their dog gets married. Its kind of annoying.

Thank you for your fast reply and I wonder how these people get new ISP Adresses. I wish they would stop because they took this outside of DC and started harassing me and some other members as well.

I would like to make a suggestion to STOP the fake email accounts is to make it when you register before you can access your account you have to go verfy your email adress. Many sites have that and I notice it reduces the "trash" because the kids get sick of having to create a new email account.

What do you think of that idea?

I am no longer a member of Club Dog, because it wouldn't let me do anything to my profile. It would come up with an error message, so I thought, "This just isn't worth it." Then I never got on again. I tried like 4 days in a row before I never got on again.

Also, with regard to banning IP addresses: We have banned a few IPs, and keep a record of the IP of each person banned. Some of the members who've been banned keep reappearing under a different IP address.

There are many members on Club Dog who join just to start trouble, as I'm sure you're aware of. The DogChannel team has been responding to each post report sent in (and believe me, there are ALOT) by deleting those posts that break a rule of the community. This includes posts that contain profanity, insults, etc.

I'm sorry that you believe these members aren't being dealt with. Much of the problem is with fake e-mails. Many of the members who continually post inappropriate blogs register using fake e-mail addresses. When an account is deleted, an e-mail is sent with the particular post they were deleted for. Because of these fake e-mail accounts, many problem members never receive these messages and create new accounts.

Also, while I understand some members' frustrations with fake dogs, I know of several members on DC who are respectful members of the community, but have a "fake" dog account because they don't own real dogs but love dosg just the same.

I agree! There was this dog that was fake cuz i had just seen his pic on google in the morning.Well, i told him that that wasn't his pic and that i hope he got another one.He started cussing at me.Well, i got mad so i started arguing with him. (No, i didn't use any bad words) And yeah, i dk what happend to him, i guess he left.I guess Simba intimidated him. Well, i'm getting sick of all of these fake dogs and "virtual" dogs.What really ticks me off is when they say they are real when they aren't and they got all of these other pics from google to prove it.

Everyone that is on Club Dog knows that there is alot of DRAMA. Fake profiles and mean comments. I am really sick of nothing being done about it. This has gotten out of control, the people leaving the nasty comments are getting away with it and it is now spreading to other sites because these cimes are going unpunished.

Anyway, I would really like to suggest to the DC-Mods and owners that when you get a complaint or a reported comment from people can you please look into these people's mean comments and find their ISP Adress and ban them permentlly including their other profiles that are connected to the same ISP adress?!? This is really getting sick and tiresome having to deal with rude comments on other sites because the issues here are not bein taken care of. I understand that you give them warnings but these people don't care about warnings, they laugh it off saying "I wasn't banned, who cares" and does more. I was hurt by what was said and I won't STOP at anything to find out who this person is. They are even going AS FAR AS registering as someone elses email adress to reregister.

So Dogchannel, I beg you to please start taking action toward these mean drama causing people and ban them forever so this can all stop.
