Spirit and I have now been living on the road for about 15 months. Winter is rough so we have come down south... somehow still cold!!! We mainly ride a motorcycle with a sidecar for him as he will wear his Doggles and helmet with no problem... he likes to pose for the cameras!

We have a Blog which I cannot post here because of its lenght and too many pictures! I could start inserting an intro for it whenever we post, genrally every other day or so...

We are seeing the country, the Parks, meeting people in small towns, cooking on the road as I have been a Chef for 40 years now and lots of Photgraphy... Just in case it does not appear in our signature, this is the Blog, and it is G rated...

Cookie is a 10 year old black and tan German Shepherd from an ad in the paper and Gray Dawntreader ("Treader" for short) is a 2-4 year old Papillon/Sheltie mix from the shelter.
They are both smart dogs. I've taught them about 25 each so far.
Cookie is the guard dog and Treader is "just a pet". They, particularily Treader, can be goofy sometimes.

Howdy guys! Just wanted to say hi. Tycho and I are new to dog channel, though I once was a member of horse channel. I found it to be rather tiresome, I got out of horses (though I still love them dearly) and got badgered for having watermarks on my photos. I'm a photographer and am a member of various websites so naturally I'm protecting my work.

Anywho, I'm Tanya and I'm a proud owner of a 2 month old Pembroke welsh corgi named TM's Lil' Tyke (registered name) or just Tycho. He's my first corgi and is just the cutest little thing! I'm also a 22 y/o wife, mother and artist/photographer. I bought him just about 3 weeks ago and we've been working really hard to assimilate him to a family environment. He was a kennel dog and wasn't the best associated with people. Now he just loves to be held and snuggled! We're currently working on command training and leading correctly. So far, he's done quite well. We're getting better with house training but he still has the occasional accident.

Hi everyone. We're new on the forums. My name is Jan and my best bud is a 9 month old Rottweiler named Bubba Dutch. I work at the local newspaper as a home delivery district manager and Bubba goes with me every day, so he truly is a working dog. We are currently halfway thru level 2 obedience training and hope to continue training indefinitely. Carting is in our future, but I don't want to do anything till age 2 when he can get vet clearance. I've been "in dogs" for more than 30 years and hope to be an asset in the forums.

Hello, my name is casrus. My best friend and dog's name is Kaos. Kaos is a 3 1/2 year Yorkie. She is rather large for a Yorkie, (12 1/2 pounds). She is very attached to me and I cannot imagine my life without her. We both loved the show last night. The dog that wore the outfits matching her masters andalways had her hair up, reminds me of Kaos. Kaos is always dressed up and has her hair done daily. In the morning, she goes to her bin where her clothes are and waits for me to dress her. After she is dressed, I then style her hair. She has outfits for every season, including tank tops, tee shirts, sun dresses, regular dresses, sweat suits, PJ's sweaters and sweat shirts. My son is 21 and grown and out of the house, so Kaos is my baby. She does as I tell her and she listens to me without talking back to me.
I would like to know if there is going to be another session of this show after the first series is complete? If so, how do we audition our dogs for the show? I am looking forward to next week to see who is removed. Last night's pick was mine exactly. Thank you for listening & I hope to hear back from some new buddies.

Hello everybody,

we live in Florida and just enjoyed the new show. We have two German Shepherd dogs, one American bred (we bought at a local breeder) and one German bred (this one we picked up in Germany), we also have a very old Golden Retriever/Collie mix (her I picked up in a vacant home I showed - the owners just left her behind so I took her home and she is with us since. And we have 4 cats and tons of fish . I am not allowed to bring any more animals home but we still find home for homeless pets I unfortunalty find more and more in vacant homes - I am a Realtor since 1994 in Southwest Florida and this is a very sad and very bad problem right now. I just don't understand why owners just leave their pets behind.

hes gotten attacked by a rottwiler 2 times and lived. . . . . hes a chihuahua mix.. and. the rottwiler has a short fence and the dog can jump it to... weve called animal control they took him away for 10 days and they let him loose again
i dont no what to do now..... they just wont tie him up

I'm the proud momma of Bo. He's our sweetheart. He lived at a traing center for a while and was later adopted by a family with two boys. Their home was forclosed on and he was put back in the training center. The trainer would use him to teach basic commands to other GSD etc...Actually, when Bo came to us a couple days ago, the US Marshal who lives down the street, recognized Bo on site. His GSD was always in class with Bo.

NO, Bo is not trained in bite training. He's trained in just about everything else. He's a sweet heart! My kids adore him! His likes are steak (we found that out on July 4th) and peanut butter. He also loves our two kitties, Sweetie and Pepper. Sweetie loves him back, but Pepper looks at him like he's a big lumbering giant and runs for the basement!

Dislikes: I SWEAR this to be true...he hates the guy across the street. He growls and barks like crazy. Turns out that guys a Teir 3 sex offender! What are the odds?!

Anyway, loves everyone else. Especially the little dog down the road. He a Yorkie and constantly jumps at Bo. Bo just does that thing where they get down on the two front paws and wag their tails like crazy (You know what I'm talking about). He is extremely well socialized. He attends a 'romper room' on Monday nights at the trainers place. It's mostly GSD's. They run and 'sniff' one anothers bits! Tons of fun!

Anyway, thats about it.

Well I think I got on the wrong foot with everyone in the pit-bull ban topic. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I wanted to make a proper intro post. I am here to give valuable information. Steven and Carrie told me about this site. I first saw the link to this site on Steven's wajas page and decided to check it out. This seems like a pretty cool forum. Anyway, I own 3 dogs but my sister takes care of LadyBug and my brother takes care of my other dog. I take care of Sandy. I am pretty different then most people and I have different opinions and I don't go with the crowd. So if I ever think differently don't get upset. I am very outspoken and different. We just joined the chat group. We have two "designer dogs" meaning, they are mixed breeds--on purpose. We have a goldendoodle and a yorkiepoo. Because I am allergic to many dogs, designer dogs are my only option. After many years of thinking we couldn't have pets, due to my allergies, having designer dogs is a DELIGHT.

Are we horrible parents for not wanting to go broke because of cushings?

Hi all! We're new here and would like to get some unbiased opinions on whether or not we should let our buddy go due to cushings. After already spending over $1,000 on meds and tests only to be told very little, our vet wants another $500 to find out if he's got cushings or not. All the symtoms seem to point to cushings: excessive thirst, excessive hunger, distended belly, uncontrollable peeing, recurring UTI's, elevated temp. We've been told that it will be another $500 for the next 2 tests to tell if it's indeed cushings and if it is, we could treat it with meds that will cost about $200 per month, plus another $25 per month for the antibiotics for the UTI's, and the monthly office visits for the blood tests to monitor him. We love our Kodi, but we, like many others facing financial difficulty these days, cannot afford to be putting out the funds to support the treatment and further testing. So, we sit here in our beautiful home and continue to clean up mess after mess in our garage where he stays when it's not raining in Seattle, or our carpeted living room at night where he can feel like he's part of our family still. My stress levels are high due to the messes and the fact that our poor dog is having to spend his days locked up in our garage when it's not nice outside. His spirits are slowly deteriorating (which is rare for a lab) and our hearts are breaking. Here's our question. Is it horrible to just have him put down now and avoid further heartbreak and financial burden, or do we simply treat the infections with round after round of antibiotics and watch him slowly deteriorate further? He's still so playful and his eyes are bright and his fur shiny, but he's getting weak in one of his hips and and he's starting to limp on his front leg, and he's been banished to the garage on rainy days to be by himself for fear of peeing on the carpeting. Can someone please offer some advice?

have two male pugs,pugsley is 11 months(have had him for 5 months),& yoda is two months. pugsley chases yoda & grabs him & bits him,pulls him by the tail,bites his legs & ears. i"tried seperating them & telling pugsley no,no bite or that enough,it works for a few minutes,but then he does it again. we have had yoda for a week. does any one have any other suggestions.I don't want pugsley to injure yoda

Well me and Big have hopped online today to avoid the terrible Florida heat, and discovered this site. I'd read about it once in Dog Fancy, but forgot about it until today, and we're glad I remembered!

Big "Biggie" Easy is my 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. I'm not sure what the reception is here for my particular breed, but I remain optomistic. Big is a great ambassador for the breed and has been the best companion I've ever had. He's not possessive, aggressive, or ill-mannered. I adopted him over a year ago from my local humane society. He was intact, about 60 lbs and unexcited. Instead of bouncing and barking and wagging at everyone passing by and the other dogs. He sat still in the middle of his kennel, a stoic guy with no interest in the goings on of his hot prison. He'd been there nearly four months and was considered a "star pet" as his temperment was sublime.

Me? I'm 23, I work full time and am still in school, but fortunately, I have no life. So when I'm not schooling or slaving, I'm playing with Big and spending time with him. We love to ride in the car and visit new places and people.

I'd like to introduce my 9 year old dalmatian, Vicious! She lives in La Mirada, Ca and is a cancer survivor! She lives indoors and loves to eat socks. She used to be hyper, but as she's gotten older she has slowed down a lot. Sometimes she hints she wants to go in the backyard and she'll zip around in circles to burn energy. I love my dog! I don't know what I would do without her!
