Honestly to me the photo looks fake, while the lips arn't highly vascularized, why is there no bleeding or bruising and why doesn't the dog look in pain? Unless that was healed for days like a peircing I just don't see it looking that "good".

you are right it does look fae where it is peirced it loos very clean with a perfect circle though you never know this could be real or not it's just terrible that anyone would do that mostly to abuse animals especcialy in such a why and if it's not true it's terrible that someone would come up with such a bad story that should not come into the right mind of anyone to post such a thing alll i now is i reallly hope it is not real

I dont even see how any person could take a poor puppy and stick some thing in its nose! ANd the worst part is its alive!!! What are these people thinking when they do stuff like that. Though I havent looked at the picture I'm pretty sure I don't want to because Ill probably wind up crying I love dogs so much and I dont want to see one with a hook in him.

I wouldn't put is past people to do this sort of thing. Right when you think you have seen or heard of everything, something comes and proves you wrong.

As for that photo, it does look fake but there are other possibilities. For one the hook could of been in the dogs nose for quite some time and the scars and blood has worn off. The other idea is that somebody actually "saw" this and didn't have any proof but wanted what was being done to be known so they designed a photo that was similar to what was seen. Has there been anything more said about this? I am egger to find out if it was true or not.

I find the photo fake too, but I do believe the story, perhaps they were just trying to show you a photo of what it looked like? I know many people are heartless, we have seen it on the boards, we have herd about the ban on pittbulls now with all that. I wouldn't put it past people to do such a thing. I know the french can be very cruel and I am not just saying that, I have been to France and I am french and proud of it but you always get animal haters.

I herd on the news that people were taking STRAY dogs & cats and put them on a line out in the ocean as shark bait to hunt sharks. These Dogs & Cats were hung in hooks ALIVE. I think his is cruel and sad. Here is an e-mail i got from Kendra about it:

Reunion in the Indian Ocean . A six-month-old labrador pup was recently
found ALIVE with a huge do uble hook through its snout, and another

kittens have been chomped up and swallowed by sharks. Please sign this petition and end this cruel practice.

That is sooooo sad!! i dont uderstand why people would do such a thing as that! its awful!! (btw, starry can you send me that email please??? my freinds L-O-V-E dogs as much as i do)

Well it is sick that photo is really sick, makes me wanna puke. Humans can be very sick and I hope those who did it to the dogs have to be punished the EXACT same way no matter how cruel it is , I believe if you do something that sick you should have to suffer the same way.

Well it's on National Geographic's website, not that that means it's necessarily true, but they do have a picture of a dog with a hook in its nose.. so sad.

*edit* oh I just saw the Snopes site and they had the same photo.. hmm..
