I'm new to the Dogchannel but have been a horsechannel member for a while now and I love it. I am a dogster member but I don't waste money buying rosettes and such. I really don't update the page much either but I like having it there to send people to when they ask about my dogs and cats.

I think I am going to like this site a while lot more. Winning DOM means 10000 points. Points mean free stuff like magazine subscriptions. I love that idea. Ultimately I think this site makes money through its adds and the magazines it promotes. So it does not need to charge for petty stuff.

Clicking on ads helps the site stay free.

I like Dogster better, myself. Just my preference. I love how answer questions, post in unique forums, having and designing a page, having DogsterPlus, seeing dog blogs, and having a diary for my dogs.
For me, Dogster is the best website on the web.

I choose DogChannel boards because first of all on here we are who we are, you show how you feel and your thoughts and helping people. I don't like the whole, "My dog talks, my dog dates" image. I don't see the point in wasting time trying to win "Dog of The Month" or redoing a dogster page. You could spend that time on your dog. That is just me.

Dog Channel, hands down

Because: I subscribe to Dog Fancy & Cat Fancy and can use the website to submit things to the magazines. Also I can keep up on whats coming up in future issues. Also, It's not just dgo channel, but Cats, Fish, etc....just by clicking on the links at the bottom. It makes it alot easier when switching from cat to dog, when everything is on the same site. And I think the site is well made with plenty of advice from vets and other professionals.

Now, can there be improvement? Sure, but there can be improvement in everything. But the improvement needed here, is not by the actual site. I've noticed just by lurking, that there seems to be some over all silly stuff posted on here. It's the users that need to make some changes. For instance, on Forum Feedback Board:this one: There's a whole post dedicated to gay bashing and religion! I thought this was the DOG channel?

Subjects such as those need to be taken to a debate forum elsewhere. You never know whos posting on these boards and I think you will find, this forum will lose members if they don't feel comfortable here.

Another thing I like about these boards is the ability to EASILY post pics, either by uploading or direct linking. That's wonderful. So many sites have banned pics alltogether unless you buy their so call 'premium' package. LAME! Everything about the internet is started to cost money. It's nice to have a 'free' site.

And the dog pages are adorable!

I agree. I find dogchannel more organized and there is more stuff to do. I change my mind, I like dogchannel WAY better.

1 Dogster is a ripper offer. They not only ripped me off but they ripped my freinds off on there money too.

2. You have to pay for a rosette that only lasts a month. What the heck, talk about wasting money away.

If you wanna give rosettes and do stuff go to pikapet.com you can add html codes, blog, vedios, rosettes but the thing is you get points for logging in and stuff and the points are used to give rosettes so your NOT wasting your real money.

Dog channel is better. They havent ripped me off

I have to say dogster. I dont really like dogchannel anymore because there are too many problems. Plus, I like making diary enteries on dogster.

I have to say, this question had me stumped. I think both the websites are great and fun. But dogchannel seems more modern than dogster. If you know what I mean. I think it's more organized. But dogster is fun because you can make these groups and add a logo and stuff. I'm totally not sure about this question. I say it's a tie. Which website do you like better? Dogchannel.com or Dogster.com? Why do you like one better than the other, or why is it a tie?
