I know this is really random...but....

I was bored, so I just went through some of my topics from like 3 or more...I think 3....years ago....and I thought...gosh, I've matured a lot. Some of the topics I posted in like 2006 are a bit embarrassing to me now...haha...as I now realize how stupid they are. I obviously am not that mature because I am only 14 and I know I have a lot ahead of me and a lot to learn, but it's amazing how much you can learn and change in a few years.

Anyways, if you see any topics of mine that don't make sense or are just plain stupid, they are probably pretty old...lol....from when I was 11 (That's how old I was when I joined.) And, wow, I can't believe I've been a member this long. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. But, I couldn't help but say that because the thought just crossed my mind as I read through my old topics...I know I have a lot of time on my hands during the summer.

And, who knows...I may look back at this topic a few years from now and say, "What in the world was I thinking???"...lol...

Dogchannel or Dogster?

I have to say, this question had me stumped. I think both the websites are great and fun. But dogchannel seems more modern than dogster. If you know what I mean. I think it's more organized. But dogster is fun because you can make these groups and add a logo and stuff. I'm totally not sure about this question. I say it's a tie. Which website do you like better? Dogchannel.com or Dogster.com? Why do you like one better than the other, or why is it a tie?

I have a question about club gold. i wanted to try the 2week trial, and while i was doing that i noticed it wanted a credit card number. do you have to pay for the free trial after the 2weeks? cuz it said credit card will not be charged during 2week free trial.... im confused, HELP! Thnx!

Um i was just wondering around the other sites like bird channel, cat channel, reptile channel, small mammel channel, horse channel and fish channel. and while i was at each one i decided i would just look at the fourms while i was reading them i got down to the bottom of the page and noticed that all these other sites like horse channel, fish channel and such have 6 mods. i thought that was alot! there was also 5 mods on one and 4 mods on another and 4 mods on another. now if you will notice we only have 2 mods. dont get me wrong from the last thred we have been getting improvments with the mods, for example one of the mods have been coming on frequently for the most part.... but what im trying to get at is, could we get more mods or would that be a problem? i was just woundering since everyone else has 6 mods 6 mods 5 mods 4 mods and 4 mods....i just wanted to know if we could? Thank You so much for your time.

Okay, I'm pming lots of people, but they can't pm me back because my pm inox is 'full'. It's not! I don't get it, I believe you, but I can't figure out what's wrong! I checked the 'inbox options', everything is okay there, I tried 'empty pm inbox', ALL the folders are empty. What's going on? I want people to be able to pm me!! It's probably a simple problem, but I'm not so great with computers. Any ideas on what this is?

Hello DC-Mods,

I been doing my daily blogs and stuff and almost every time I do there is that stupid commercial with ugly Ellen DeGeners with a stupid bag in her mouth. I can't stand her at all but I am really really sick of this commericial, do you think you could change it to something else now? Plus I find that putting a bag in your mouth isn't a good example for kids or anyone you know how stupid adults are they see that they will let their kids chew on plastic bags. Believe me I seen it happen, that is why they have to label everything and make everything child proof now.

We get points for doing stuff here and I see that they have an expiration date. What would be nice is to also be told when your oldest point will expire. Kind of a "Use it or lose it" stat.

OK so I lost my account just because I changed my email. I think thats wrong and I think that you should change that before it happens to even more people. It said that an activation email or something had been sent to my email. That never came even after I resent it. I hope you will change that!

Okay, this is not an issue with dogchannel, but DC doesnt have an off topic post so since my issue is with the computer I just posted it here, hope someone could help me.

We have a brand new computer, Vista and internet is DSL. Well latley after I click on something one of 2 things happen. 1.) Says internet has to restart to close or 2.) The internet just wont load and I have to bring up the internet again. Its not hard to bring up the internet again I just press the E beside the start button but it annoys me because it does it when im writing something long, I have to relog in everytime and if i edit copy something, it dont save the edit copy and I have to retype it up anyway. I was doing my dogchannel blogs and 5 times it did that where it had to restart the internet had to log in and type it up AGAIN. Its really getting frustrating and I wanna scream at it. How can I fix this??

My dad gets mad it anything goes wrong and he wont call a guy to look at it he says screw it if it dont work it dont work because we put in 500+ dollars for the new one and it works WORSE then our old one.

Any Idea what could be wrong with it without saying we need to buy something or call somebody cuz my mom wouldn't do that? Then after it restarts this thing comes up saying something about adboe flash player isnt working right. We don't even have adobe because when he had it, it messed up all our photos and deleted the photos in the camera and my mom got really ticked off and just uninstalled all adobe things.

Frequent urination

Hi. Our 7 year old Min Pin, Heidi, recently had a kidney removed? Everything seems fine with the exception of frequent urination. We had her to the vet and her urine results came back good. Her diet is prescription for Urinary care. She completed a series of antibiotics and she is still going a lot. Has anyone ever came across a similar case with a Min Pin?

Club dog blog missing thing

Sorry to keep posting Issues.

But, I log into my club dog and I tried to do my blogs, it goes to the dogs page I write a blog and i press Add comment and it says Missing site map. It wont let me post a blog at all. UGH its really annoying. It started last night and I thought today it would maybe stop. I was asking my freinds and they all said that it wasn't happening to them. I have 2 pages of blogs so far that I have to reply to and i cant. Is anyone having this issue?? I was TRYing to wait it out but i can't. I have to say something. I hope this is fixed soon. What if its my computer?? It never did this before, It shouldn't. Its a brand new computer and its Vista. There shouldn't be any issues with it.

I clicked on dog profiles on DC and I saw a photo that looked exactly like solie acutally it is. The profile is so fake. (quote for link) http://www.dogchannel.com/blog/viewbio.aspx?apid=58500 . Said the name was dsfg and the breed was afgan hound. Seriously, Afagan hound is far from her breed.

I think something needs to be done before they steal someone elses. Last night did sent them a blog poitley stating that what they are doing is called photo plagerisem and how they can go to jail for that.They just deleted it and kept making more.

seeing, alot of "fake" profiles on club dog. I think its way out of hand. Now they are sealing real dogs on DC's profile. I saw they used a photo of a lampost for there profile. Well I been ignoring all the fake ones but when I saw they stole my freind Soliewhippets photo, that made me furious.

Please, DC-Mods please do something about this.

I don't really know where to post this, so I've started here. This site is great...alot of support....BUT...when one tries to help another with a health or training (e.g.) link...it is completely banned. Most of us do research on the web these days as to diets, training, health etc. and find great sites. Why are we prevented from offering these sites to other members???? I give a link, with all hopes that it will help, only to be brought back to DC!! It's frustrating!!! It's preventing the ones that want to offer further education.

Stop the ban of links. You can moderate them if you want. But other sites alllow links and there are no problems.

Issues getting on DogChannel

I agree completely about irresponsible people and the overpopulation of all pets. I just feel sorry for Samantha, the girl who's mother gave her puppy away. It's just that your anger needs to be directed at her mother, and I don't think the mother is reading, just Samantha. We need to give the girl support and help her to grow up into the kind of owner that we wish there were more of. Personally I would love to strangle that poor child's mother for doing that to both the puppy and her daughter!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I am BRAND new.My name is Kat and I am owned by Scout, a 12 year young Border Collie.I just made him his very first web page but his picture does does not show up, just a little red square box.

He is black and white and furry and doesn't look at all like a little red box.Really, he doesn't

Can anyone help me get his picture up ? It is jpg format like the page asks for, and I resized it and made it small, so I'm confused.

My Scouty injured his discs last year, so he has been on steroids and pain meds for a year now.His quality of life is still good and he is still young in spirit, but he has definitely slowed down into a senior citizen.I have worked as a veterinary assistant and am currently an apprentice wildlife rehabilitator. It's funny when I bring home orphan babies like squirrels.He is used to it now and knows he cant chase them,they are different from outside squirrels

Nice to meet you all, I cant wait to have a look around this site, I just found it today in Dog Fancy.

Forum Category Suggestion

I'd liek to suggest a forum area for those of us with pets who wish to travel and want to go beyond the very generic and vague 'AAA' descriptions or Hotel advertisements.

Specifically, I'd like to see a place where pet owners can share links and experiences of get-away destinations that may include things such as: descriptions, relative prices, personal experiences, pet ammenities, links to web-sites, suggestions.

Why am I suggesting this? Well, my wife and I want to take a three or four day vacation with our mini schnauzer, Frankie, and after scouring some various google-esque links, and other web-sites, I was really didn't learn to much on what pet friendly hotels have to offer, other than additional fees that may apply.

I want to read something along the lines of: Cabin surrounded by woods, dogs welcomed and includes these XYZ services, including hiking trails, doggy spa, enclosed areas, etc. Just not some 400+ room cookie cutter hotel that says 'Pet welcome'.
