My labrador retriever cross died from old/age and from large benign tumors that blocked blood flow from important aspects of the body, and because he was older the vet thought he wouldn't have made it through surgery to have the tumors removed. May Peanut rest in peace.

Ceasar,well last november 28th my best friend in the whole wide world passed away ,he was 12 years 4 months and 1 week old

he passed away at home surrounded by people tht loved him,imiss him so much

we use to play a little game called i'll get your nose

thats where i try to kiss his nose before he can lick mine

sometimes he'd let me get his nose ,then he would smother me sometimes ,

i love that good guy

,i knew he was getting older my soon to be ex wife well i adopted another rotti named brandi for her

somehow brandi bonded with me ,so glad i found her

big differance between brandi and ceasar

but i love her so much

she loves hr huggies rubbies and kisses

sometimes i can feel ceasar's presence

i know brandi can to but i love her still get choked upp sometimes when i think of ceasar,dam i loved him

We had the most wonderful yellow lab named Sadie Mae. She was 4 years old and well behaved. She loved her ball, frisbee and followed my husband all over the place. She was his constant companion day and night. When he mowed our 3 acreas she would follow the whole time behind him. We loved her so much. She would go with me as I took care of my Dad who was dying of cancer. She would go up to him and just set her head in his lap. It made my heart cry. She would stay in the house while we are at work and one Thursday I came home...she was different. Usually she would have a toy in her mouth and so excited to see us. She came out with out a toy and just stood there. I knew something was wrong so I called the vet but of course it was too close to closing time so I was told to take her the emergency vet. So we loaded her up and took her there. They gave her fluids and couldn't find anything wrong. That night I was awake all night as she was up and down. My hubby took her to our vet and left her there for the day. They took blood, xrays and we had to wait for the next day for the blood test results. Well to say the least...she died that next morning in my husbands arms. We were devastated!! The results showed a high white blood cell count but we still don't know why she died. At least she's not suffering anymore as that was killing me.

We have a new dog now named Mocha and just adopted another yellow lab. Never again will we have a dog like Sadie Mae but I thank God we had her in our lives.

Jake was beautiful. And yes, Great Danes are actually more susceptible to the disease than most. I'm sorry for all your losses.

Jake was a blue merle Great Dane who had just turned 4 years old. On Xmas eve 06 he suddenly became ill. I called the vet and spoke to them, at the time he suddenly stopped eating, and became really listless. They told me to watch him and bring him in the day after Christmas. When I took him in he still wouldn't eat, was unsteady, and seemed disorentated. They kept him to run tests on him, to make a long story short he passed away early on the 28th just as the test results, which could have saved him, arrived. He had died from an Addison's Crisis..I never knew that Dane's could have addisons.

Jake was a really special giant dog...he loved everyone...he was goofy, funny, loving and handsome. He was just like one of my children, he left a giant sized hole in my heart. I miss him dearly still...It will be two years this Christmas that he went to the bridge. It seems like only yesterday that his big ole happy face was lookin up at me...but yet it seems like forever since Ive seen him...He will live forever in my heart...

The dog who I remember best from my youth, Cuddles (a cock-a-poo), was shot by my dad because she kept getting so sick. I did not know this for a very long time, my sister and I were told that she was given to a family in the country who had kids where she would not be getting sick.

My dog Poncho (a beagle/pekinese mix) was my buddy. He was a gift from my sister for Christmas in 1982 after I had started my first teaching job. I had to put him down in 1999 due to what was believed to be canine dementia, hearing and sight loss and arthritits. I still miss him, but my present dog, Schnitzel (a miniature long-haired dachshund) is my absolute love.

I have had 3 beagles pretty much my whole life. Buddy-13,(The Fater)
Precious-9 (the Mother) (she passed away yesterday) and Ruffus (6)(the son) who passed away in April. Ruffus had heart worms and just didn't have it in him to make it through the treatment. After his first treatment, he passed. It was one of the saddest days of my life. I recently moved away from home and I got a call from my mother telling me my Precious was dead. She had an enlarged heart and lungs due to emphysema. I was so devestated. But, I've recently realized that the only thing that matters is if you give them the best life possible, as long as they felt loved and knew they were part of the family, they did not die in vein. RIP my loves...

My Precious Angel My RuffusMy Buddy, who is still alive and will be for many more years if I have anything to do with it. Hims will be 14 in November.

My labrador, Eightball, died 5 years ago. He was shot and killed in the Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon by a Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer. He was shot because he was barking at the man and the man got scared.

Moose (rottie) died of cancer. See the whole story on share your tips/healthtipps. 1/3/98-12/22/07. Still rips me apart. I'll always miss him...he was my heart.

Well it happen to fast no good bye nothing i mean if i would'nt have let her out she would still be here well any way's she was let out because she was making a mess in the house because it was my brith day and she was making this big mess and i let her out and the next i here why i was washing my hands was a red car hit her and he did't she oh my gosh im so sorry he JUST LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like i wasn't happy but she all ways with and i miss her a lot.

princess was a wounderfull sdog that was afried of storms and when a storm hit and we were gone she jumped the fence and ran a couple miles from are house then she crashed out in a persons driveway and the person ran her over when she was sleeping in there drive way. i don't know if the people had a thing against rotties or wut but they had to see her. you know what i mean, you open your garge door and you see your driveway well i think that person did it on purpose, the lady did hate dogs, so thats what i say, then when they brought her in they found out that she had been bitten by a snake too. so she could not move, and thats why she could not douge the car.

I had one die last year november 9th.He got hit by a car after breaking his chain.The person didnt even stop to tell us.We had to find out on our own.He was 5 months old...

The two littermate Springers I grew-up with were 13 years old when they were euthanized. Both had testicular tumors. Kodi had hip dysplasia and could barely get up from the floor anymore, and was going deaf. Kyle had tumors in his ears, and an auto-immune skin disease which kept progressing despite nearly 6 months of treatment. My mom, brother & I stayed with them as the vet put them to sleep.... My last dog, also a Springer Spaniel, was euthanized at 27 months old due to a genetic seizure disorder which didn't respond to medication. My family also stayed with me as the vet put him to sleep

i rememder when i was about 4 my blood hound died of bloat all i really can remember was staring at him asking my mom what was happening however i got no repley then he gave up.

I have a very sad story about OLE my first dog he was a Husky mix he was almost 2 and my dad was running him on our road he loved this and there was a moose in the woods and he ran after it to check it out never to hert it and it happened to have a calf with it and Ole was kicked right in the head killed him instantley so he didnt suffer.

I miss him every day and he will FOREVER BE IN MY HEART!!

He was a great dog and I will miss him forever

Bowser (pug) the only dog I have had so far from start to finish, was put to sleep. He was sick for an unknown resone, and his quality of life had signifiganly diminished. He was 9 when he was put down on September 28th, 2005.
