While they may not replace the Malamute in my heart, I can certainly see why people fall for these dogs!

I have been commissioned to sculpt a portrait of a retired Therapy dog and I was invited to meet him and attend a Spinoni reunion. There were 30+ dogs together in a fenced yard. Most were strangers. No leashes, no crates, no barriers- only calm owners socializing. Intact males and females, as well as neutered pets. One young puppy. Lots of toys. There was not one squabble. I can't say how impressed I am with the temperaments. The biggest excitement occurred whenever some deranged songbird would attempt to land in the yard. It was amazing!

Have you had a chance to meet a Spin? What did you think?
