Mine is the message boards. Also the quizzes. The polls are neat too!

I am not crazy about club dog. To me that age range is for younger kids with all the dog dating and pretending your dog is really talking and stuff. I find it silly. I do like the message boards because you can help other people who need help and I like the PMing system, I have talked with some members already about how I feel on the pit-bull issue without their being a big fight. Most of the members on the boards here seem pretty level headed.

I would like to point out some ideas though that maybe the site owner could look into.

1. Making members be able to delete posts. I see some people have double posted because of a glitch and it would be nice to delete them. I know I made a post and I decided I didn't want to get into a debate about it but I couldn't delete it so I had to edit it up to something else which it would of been easier to just delete it.

2. A health and off topic section. I seen many off topic posts by some members such as favorite music and stuff and I think that is all fine and good but I think there needs to be certain categories then the few you have.

3. Quick post reply at the bottom of each post. I really like that on this other forum I am on (its not dog related) anyway, it makes things much easier, and even more useful when you have those days where your computer wants to act up.

4. More admins and moderators checking the forums daily.

Hi everyone,

Let me start off by saying I agree that there should be more moderating of this site. The current moderators are technical and editorial administrators of the DogChannel site, thus, often don't have much time to devote to the moderating of the community.

Of the time that these team members have to moderate, Club Dog demands a majority due to an increasing number of inappropriate and often vulgar posts by members.

I've taken the concerns expressed to me privately and in this thread to DogChannel administrators, who are evaluating the need for an outside moderator. We're doing our best to resolve the moderating issue and thank those members who've helped keep this community on topic and civil.

While the other channel forums indicate there as many as 6 mods, that number is really the number of moderator accounts that have been set up.

When each channel gets new staff members or interns, sometimes they'll moderate the boards, so a new moderator account is created for them. So while there are 6 moderators listed, usually only 2 or 3 are still actively moderating. This just means they haven't deleted the old accounts.
