I'm sorry to hear about your bad vet visit. I wouldn't recommend going to a vet in a pet store. I would recommend some who has there own building. I have to disagree don't sue them. No one is perfect even vets make mistakes I have to disagrre with you! How can you not sue them! so you mean to tell me if your dog accedently died from a vet making a mistake that you wouldnt even consider at the least to sueing them! let alone sueing them! wow... i think she should sue them. there probulay not even trained professinal vets, they just want the money. because vets do get a large sum of money, there faking to be a vet than hurt your dog cause there not perfessinals and they dont know what there doing but they get the money. its not the time for them to be playing "docter" althou i do agree with about going to vets that own there own buliding, not pet stores. i think pet stores specilise in "pet food" more than "vets" or anything else.

Like I mentioned before , we do not go to Banfield , but Petsmart we use to get our Pet supplies, and we have experienced nothing but friendly service.
Our Dogs are not spoiled,we're just well trained

We go to Banfield exclusively and they are not part of the pet store. It is a real veterinary office that just happens to be in a pet store. They rent the space just like any other vet office. I don't know about yours, but our vets are very good and knowledgeable. We are very happy with them.

I know this post is from a while back but someone said they would not sue, people make mistakes, yes people make mistakes but the fact of the vet keeping the dog 9 1/2 hours(i beleive) they never once called and told the dogs owner what had happen which would be the responsible thing to do.

I love my dog Max and my two guinea pigs Buttercup also know as Bub, and coco

| I must apologize for the following stupid questions. For 12 years, I have been living in the middle of nowhere. Our nearest PetSmart is 6 hours away and I went there once about 4 years ago to buy a nice rolled leather collar. I knew they offered training classes and grooming but that's it. Is it normal to drop a dog off for an annual checkup? I make an appointment and stay for the weigh-in, exam and vaccinations, then take my dog home. The only time I've ever left a dog at the vet was for boarding, removal of porcupine quills or neutering. With this "Banfield" arrangement- do you actually have a relationship with your vet? Something in the situation really bothers me. I would certainly get a lawyer if I felt I had proof of what you have shared.
