In just over a year, we lost three of our dogs.  Unfortunately, only one was to old age - Lady, a 13-year old Cocker Spaniel.  We also lost two Basset Hounds to cancer - Ernie at 5 years old, and Max at 8 years old.  There are still days when we miss them, especially the little things about them that made the individual and special.  The two in front are the boys we lost, Max is on the left and Ernie on the right.

Losing a pet is never easy, but these two are no longer in pain and are remembered fondly.  If all we can do is give a dog a good home for whatever time we have, then we've done alright.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your beloved pets and that 2 of them were at a young age. I've also lost my baby boy, but he ran away, which in my opinion is even worse. i don't know if he's alive or dead of if the people who have him are treating him right.I have to not think about sometimes cuz it destroys me on the inside. At least your doggys are with God now.

Simba the white terrier mix & Bandito his black-white son.

I'm sorry about your loss.  I recently lost my little girl too (not a dog, but a bird.)  She was young and died on new years of a mysterious illness.  Sadly the vet could not save her  But like you said they are all no longer in pain, When I cry I only cry for myself.  and I am a fiirm believer my baby bird and your dogs are in heaven.  And I'm sure they are all happier now than ever before.
